Looking for dinner options?
There are some great restaurants in Arcos de la Frontera. They are pretty small, so be sure to book for large groups.
Bar la Carcel

Classic Andalusian tapas bar serving traditional Spanish dishes - think fresh seafood, Iberian pork, and local specialties. This is casual, authentic dining where locals actually eat, so prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is relaxed.
Been family-run since 1972 and it's right in the historic center. Perfect if you want real Spanish tapas without any fuss.
Taberna Jovenes Flamencos

Traditional Arcos cuisine with excellent tapas in a small, flamenco-themed restaurant. It's casual dining with fair prices, and they're good about accommodating vegetarians with some nice vegan tapas options.
The setting is charming - think flamenco photos on the walls and a cozy atmosphere in the old town. Gets busy because locals love it, so that's always a good sign.
Aljibe Restaurante

Mediterranean and Moroccan fusion cuisine - their tajines and creative dishes are really something special. This is definitely more upscale dining with prices to match, but they're excellent with dietary needs (gluten-free, vegan, and halal options available).
The setting is incredible - you're literally eating inside a 13th-century cistern that feels like a beautiful cave. Perfect for a special dinner.
El Nuevo Faro

Mediterranean bistro food with Spanish influences, and they do great vegetarian and vegan dishes. It's mid-range pricing - nicer than a tapas bar but not fancy-fancy.
The coolest part is that half the restaurant is carved into a natural cave, which makes for a really unique dinner setting. Friendly service and they clearly put thought into accommodating different dietary preferences.
